Here are some of the highlights of Sydney’s 2015 Vivid Festival.

Vivid Sydney 2015 – Timelapse from Destination NSW on Vimeo.
They’ve done well to squeeze an 18 day extravaganza into this one little video. Anyhow…basically, the whole of Sydney was saturated in technicolour gorgeousness. Over 60 light installations all splashed across the inner city. The Rocks, Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Martin Place, the Bridge and Opera House. Architecture was transformed into a showcase of pulsating light and sound! Check out some of their pretty special square pix! I reckon Brissie could host an equally cool event. Could it be a big bright idea for the river city? Sure we have already had a taste for the uplifting experience that projection mapping offers.
Projects like this one for Brisbane Festive are getting noticed. The Christmas Special Shows at City Hall were also pretty magical. And by all reports suggest that this coming Christmas is bringing us more surprises for adoring little (and big) spectators. The Nutcracker Story

Clearly we have alot of the resources needed, the technical expertise, the creative keeness and the best ever outdoors climate, it seems inevitable that projection mapping in Brisbane will have a future so bright! #BigBrightBrisbane. Gotta wear shades…
